VETTI GROUP

Zagreb, December 12, 2023 – Vetti Group, a leading veterinary group in Croatia, has opened the new Buba Veterinary Clinic in Zagreb at Riječka Street 10. The new clinic, the largest in the region, is available to users 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This year, in addition to opening the new Buba Clinic and alongside the existing Buba Ambulance, Vetti Group has acquired one of the first private veterinary practices in Croatia, the Marković Ambulance in Zagreb, Feliks from Virovitica, which includes both an ambulance and an animal shelter, the Đakovo Veterinary Station with a long tradition and six ambulances, Cosa del Cani from Zagreb with the Doctor Vau Ambulance, and Neovet Zagreb with the Kreszinger Clinic, which operates 24/7. With these acquisitions and the opening of the new clinic, Vetti Group has become the largest veterinary group in Croatia and the region. By the end of this year, they plan to acquire a veterinary practice in Split, bringing the total to 10 practices and two clinics across Croatia, with a total investment value exceeding 20 million euros over the next three years. Currently, the group employs 130 people, and by the end of next year, it is expected to grow to over 280 employees.

Vetti Group is majority-owned by the Provectus Capital Partners fund, with key veterinary experts remaining as partners.

"Vetti Group was established to raise the general standard of veterinary services in Croatia, decentralize and spread high-quality service from Zagreb across the country, and improve the standards and working conditions for employees. For now, our development and expansion plans are focused on Croatia, but in the future, we want to expand into neighboring countries."

A special focus is on opening regional Vetti Group clinics and hospitals, which will simultaneously provide top diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, and complex examinations throughout Croatia.

"Our regional clinics will also perform examinations and emergency procedures that were not previously possible. By standardizing services across Croatia, we will increase the level of veterinary care, and by improving working conditions, introducing quality education and training, I am confident that we will positively influence other veterinary professionals in Croatia."

Suzana Skorija, CEO of Vetti Group

The new Buba Clinic, spanning 700 square meters, offers top diagnostics and treatments, all in one place 24 hours a day.

Vetti Group has acquired another location in Zagreb, the first regional center near the Zagreb Rotor, at Riječka Street 10. With an investment of over two million euros and covering 700 square meters, the clinic provides spacious waiting rooms with reception, a separate waiting room for cats, a 24-hour animal ward, four surgical theaters, ten consultation rooms, a laboratory, and a diagnostic section with CT, X-ray, and ultrasound equipment, as well as a top-notch team of specialists available 24/7.

The Buba Veterinary Clinic boasts a new, state-of-the-art CT machine, the most advanced in Croatia – a 64-slice CT that offers shorter scanning times and more detailed images than currently available devices on the market.

"With top experts, the latest equipment, and 24/7 patient availability, the clinic space will be extremely pleasant for all employees. We want to raise the standards for employees, both materially and non-materially, for veterinarians and veterinary technicians, as well as other veterinary sector staff in Croatia."

Suzana Skorija, CEO of Vetti Group

"The partnership with Provectus Capital Partners is the culmination of our careers. We have been building the Buba brand slowly and systematically for 20 years, aiming to one day stand in a clinic that meets or exceeds the world's highest standards and the best veterinary clinic services worldwide. I am confident that we will continue to do our best work, and that this clinic will truly be a pleasant place for our colleagues to work and develop professionally, and a trusted place for our patients."

Future Plans

Next year, several new acquisitions are planned across Croatia, including opening a clinic in Split modeled after the newly opened veterinary clinic in Zagreb, renovating existing practices, and relocating the Feliks practice to a space three times larger. Additionally, a multi-year employee training plan has begun, including a symposium led by Dr. Ronaldo Da Costa, a leading veterinary neurologist and co-author of the renowned textbook "Practical Guide to Canine and Feline Neurology," and editor of neurological sections in the Ettinger and Feldman books.

During 2024, the plan includes opening a Veterinary Hospital with additional diagnostics and a training center in Gajnice. The hospital in Gajnice will feature a 1.5T MRI machine, the first of its kind in Croatia for animal examinations. Plans also include establishing and developing a Vetti Group call center for communication with pet owners, as well as introducing systematic check-ups and insurance policies for pets.
